Special Rules for Ontario Statutory Holidays 2022
- If a statutory holiday falls on employee’s day off, the first working day immediately following the holiday becomes employee’s statutory holiday.
- A substitute holiday is another working day off work that is designated to replace a public holiday. Employees are entitled to be paid public holiday pay for a substitute holiday.
